POET MEETS DUBWISE

An original brand by Harunobu Shimoda, known as SILENT POETS, who expresses melancholic and emotional DUB sounds.
Shimoda, who has been active as a DJ musician since the 1990s, also has a long career as a graphic designer.
In addition to creating artwork and merchandise for his own works, he has designed graphics and logos for numerous brands, committing broadly to fashion and music culture.
POET MEETS DUBWISE is a project that represents Shimoda's career itself, where music, design, and culture are always intertwined.
Basic items, with functional beauty and comfort kept to a minimum, are designed with keywords and song titles associated with SILENT POETS as typography.
The products are simple yet profound, with an awareness of the beauty of words as forms and blank spaces. Each one embodies Shimoda's consistent stance that "his works are total works, encompassing everything from music to artwork."
The products, based on a collage and graphic design approach that has become ingrained through his senses, are expressions that are not influenced by trends.
From a position unrelated to the rapidly changing fashion trends, he proposes his own unique standards.
