An original brand by Haruhito Shimoda, also known as SILENT POETS, who expresses melancholic and emotional DUB sounds. Having been active as a DJ musician since the 1990s, Shimoda also has a long career as a graphic designer. While working on the artwork and merchandise for his own works, he has also designed graphics and logos for numerous brands, consistently committing to both fashion and music culture. POET MEETS DUBWISE is a project that embodies Shimoda's career, where music, design, and culture are always intertwined. Basic items, with their functional beauty and comfort kept to a minimum, feature keywords and song titles associated with SILENT POETS designed as typography. Each product, simple yet profound, with an awareness of the beauty of words as forms and the importance of negative space, reflects Shimoda's consistent stance that "his work, from music to artwork, is a total work." Products based on a collage and graphic design approach that has become ingrained in his sensibilities are expressions unaffected by trends. From a position unrelated to the rapidly changing fashion trends, the brand proposes its own unique standards.
