Lamrof
Lamrof was launched in 2021 by Sendai-born designer Daisuke Sakamoto. The brand name, Lamrof, is a reversed version of "Formal," a term popular among African-American jazz musicians in the 1940s. Its meaning is "wearing formal attire in a way that is ideologically opposed to it," paying homage to the history and culture of African Americans, which have had a profound influence on the world from the past to the present. The highly original, high-quality collection, which is not biased toward general contemporary trends, is fully infused with the designer's background, having previously gained experience at various renowned brands and currently working on numerous visual creations.
