He encountered skateboarding in his childhood and grew up influenced by various aspects of street culture.
Later, he found his grandfather's camera, which opened the door to photography.
While working on fashion-related jobs such as magazines, catalogs, and advertisements, he travels around the world, both domestically and internationally, capturing the world from his unique perspective.

An original brand by Norihito Shimoda, also known as SILENT POETS, who expresses melancholic and emotional DUB sounds.
Shimoda, who has been active as a DJ musician since the 1990s, also has a long career as a graphic designer.
While creating artwork and merchandise for his own works, he has designed graphics and logos for numerous brands, committing broadly to both fashion and music culture.
POET MEETS DUBWISE is a project that embodies Shimoda's career itself, where music, design, and culture are always intertwined.
Basic items, with minimal functional beauty and comfort, feature keywords and song titles associated with SILENT POETS designed as typography.
The products are simple yet profound, conscious of the beauty of words as forms and of whitespace. Each one reflects Shimoda's consistent stance that "my work is a total work, encompassing everything from music to artwork."
Products based on collage and graphic design approaches that have instinctively permeated his work represent an expression unaffected by trends.
