This is a new open-collar shirt made from a mixed-weave broadcloth fabric, with thick cotton yarns in the warp and fine rayon yarns in the weft.
The mixed-weave broadcloth, which has a slightly heavier feel than 100% cotton, ensures that the shirt doesn't feel too light when worn. Combined with the open-collar detail, which often has a strong spring/summer connotation, it achieves a seasonless balance.
The color is also distinctive; since cotton absorbs dye more deeply than rayon, the navy has a deep eggplant-like hue, and the fabric ages beautifully over time.
The embroidery depicts "Beautiful Soul" in Arabic.
Inspired by American vintage styles, the open collar is designed with a slight forward-slanting angle to suit Japanese physiques, creating a more elegant impression when worn.
The shirt combines high quality and an elegant mood, featuring cuffs with a simple turn-back finish instead of a placket, side pleats on the back yoke, careful flat-felled seams and three-roll hem stitching, all tailored in a shirt factory in Tokyo.
The buttons used for the navy shirt were dyed with the garment to achieve a deep, cohesive color, and the embroidery uses covering thread that prevents color transfer to the main fabric, even after repeated washes.
By controlling the thread tension with a special embroidery machine, the Arabic design is further abstracted.
