BUZIGAHILL
An apparel brand by designer Bobby Kolade.
Based in Kampala, Uganda, the brand operates at the intersection of art, fashion, and activism. Its first project series, called RETURN TO SENDER, redesigns used clothing. In Uganda, used clothing accounts for 80% of all apparel purchased in the country, hindering the revival of the local textile industry. BUZIGAHILL redesigns these used garments into unique items and sends them back to the Global North, where they were originally produced. The brand also collaborates with Ugandan visual artists, designers, second-hand market vendors, and artisan workshops to add value to the local supply chain and develop a strong creative industry.
