BUZIGAHILL
An apparel brand by designer Bobby Kolade.
Based in Kampala, the capital of Uganda, this brand operates at the intersection of art, fashion, and activism. In their first project series, called RETURN TO SENDER, they redesign used clothing. In Uganda, used clothing accounts for 80% of all clothing purchased domestically, hindering the revival of the local textile industry. BUZIGAHILL redesigns these used clothes into unique products and sends them back to the Global North where they were originally made. Furthermore, by collaborating with Ugandan visual artists, designers, second-hand market vendors, and artisan workshops, they add value to local supply chains and develop a strong creative industry.
