"Lamrof" was started by Sendai-born designer Daisuke Sakamoto in 2021.
The brand name "Lamrof" uses the backward spelling popular among African-American jazz musicians in the 1940s, spelling "Formal" backwards to mean "wearing formal wear ideologically in opposition." This expresses respect for the history and culture of African Americans, who have had a profound influence on the world from the past to the present.
The designer's extensive experience with various famous brands and his current involvement in numerous visual creations are fully poured into the highly unique and high-quality collections, which do not lean towards conventional modern trends.
