This jacket samples oversized models and uses sashiko-woven fabric, commonly found in judo uniforms. It is piece-dyed to achieve a deep hue, then distressed and embroidered with hand stitching for a contemporary design.

The concept is "clothes that serve as a compass for travelers." KANEI develops clothing that weaves together tradition and craftsmanship, incorporating cultures, colors, materials, and artisan handwork encountered through travel. The brand aims to create clothing that acts as a compass for today's adventurous travelers.
Hiroei Yamaoka, born in Gifu Prefecture in 2002. From childhood, he was immersed in creative activities, launching a carp streamer brand at age 16 and collaborating with dyeing artisans in Kyoto. In 2022, he received the GOOD DESIGN NEW HOPE AWARD. In 2024, he graduated from Bunka Fashion College and, in the same year, received numerous awards, including the Next Fashion Designer of Tokyo Special Selection Award. In 2025, he launched "KANEI" with the 25AW collection.
