Nobuyuki Matsui is a fashion brand by designer Nobuyuki Matsui. After graduating from high school, Nobuyuki Matsui went to the UK to study psychology, but in 2011, he enrolled in the London College of Fashion. He studied menswear and, while still a student, won an award at Fashion Scout, a fashion contest for young designers at London Fashion Week, and held a runway show. After that, he gained experience at young fashion houses before returning to Japan. In the Autumn/Winter 2016 collection, he officially launched his eponymous brand, "Nobuyuki Matsui." He presents bespoke clothing in a collection format. He handles everything from pattern making to sewing and fabric processing himself, presenting his creations as made-to-order garments, and sometimes as artworks. In Spring/Summer 2018, he launched his first ready-to-wear collection.
