This is a new open-collar shirt made from a mixed-weave broadcloth fabric, with thick cotton yarns in the warp and fine rayon yarns in the weft.
The mixed-weave broadcloth, which has a slightly heavier feel than 100% cotton, ensures that the shirt doesn't feel too light when worn. Combined with the open-collar detail, which often implies spring/summer wear, it creates a seasonless balance.
The color is also distinctive; since cotton has a higher penetration rate than rayon, the navy achieves a deep, eggplant-like tone and will develop a rich patina over time.
The embroidery features "Beautiful Soul" expressed in Arabic.
Inspired by American vintage, the open collar has a slightly downward slope at the front, tailored to fit Japanese body types, creating a more elegant impression when worn.
The shirt incorporates high-quality details and a refined mood, such as cuffs without plackets but with a "ittekoi" (turned-back) finish, side pleats on the back yoke, meticulous folded-seam stitching, and a triple-rolled hem, all crafted at a shirt factory in Tokyo.
The buttons used for the navy shirt were garment-dyed to achieve depth and a natural blend, while the embroidery uses covering thread that prevents color transfer to the main fabric, no matter how many times it's washed.
By manipulating the thread tension with a special embroidery machine, the Arabic design is rendered more abstract.
