TOZAOU "Hollow Wide Trousers"
Hollow Wide Trousers from TOZAOU [TOZAOU].
These are wide trousers made from a fabric woven with recycled polyester in the warp and hollow yarns with a hollow center in the weft.
If the fabric using hollow yarns in the weft were cut directly to make pants, the fabric's tension would spread horizontally. However, the pattern is rotated 90° before cutting so that the tension spreads vertically.
By adding vertical tension to the drape of the pants, a three-dimensional corrective silhouette is created.

TOZAOU [TOZAOU]Designer: Mr. Uozato
TOZAOU (TOZAOU) is a menswear brand from Osaka. With the concept of "clothing that betrays one's frame of reference," the brand proposes humorous menswear by using subtle and unconscious aspects of human life as design sources and inserting suits and workwear that evoke a sense of time and background into context. Paying homage to Japanese craftsmanship, the designer personally engages in traditional tailoring, from material development and pattern making to sewing. Through this integrated approach, the brand meticulously considers what clothes offer to human emotions and how that translates into expressions of gestures and actions, creating clothing that connects people.
